KLIAVS 2013: Sharp to debut big screen LCD TVs

By Dick Tan

Sharp will be fielding its complete range of big screen LED/LCD TVs at the coming KL International AV Show 2013 from July 5 – 7 at the J.W. Marriott Hotel, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.

Acknowledged by all and sundry as the undisputed leader in the design and manufacturer of big screen HDTVs, Sharp’s current range include up to at least three variations of the 60″ HDTVs and one 70″, 80″ and what is believed to be the biggest production run digital flatscreen TVs currently available, its 90″ LC90LE740X.

According to Sharp all of its big screen LED/LCD TVs, contrary to popular misconceptions, do not require excessively large rooms or overly long distance for optimum viewing performance.

Sharp says that the native full high definition 1090p resolution of its large screen TVs is so fine that it will allow a minimum viewing distance of no more than 3 metres for a 60″ set and no more than 3.40 meters for its largest 90″ model.

Sharp also adds that for the foreseeable future the full HD 1090p resolution will form the bulk of digital TVs made and that it remains the ideal pixel to pixel match for TV programmes such as ASTRO’s high def broadcasts, bluray discs, HD games and HD video download from the internet.
