Sonus Faber launched a new version of its flagship speakers, the Sonus Faber Stradivari second generation, at the recent Munich High End show.
It is a 40th anniversary limited edition and only 120 pairs have been made.
According to Andy Tan of Perfect Hi-Fi, the Malaysian Sonus Faber distributor, all have been sold, but he managed to get hold of three pairs. They are not cheap — they are priced at US$50,000 a pair.
It is a redesign of the original Stradivari released about 20 years ago. The new design incorporates the ability to adjust the bass woofers’ output to suit your listening room’s acoustics.
