The first shipment of 15 Naim Nait 50 Limited Edition integrated amps has been sold out — except for the review unit that I returned to CMY Audio & Visual this afternoon.
Boss of CMY, John Yew, has good news for audiophiles who were late in making the decision to pick up a limited edition (only 1,973 units have been made) Naim Nait 50 which sounds good to boot — he is bringing in another shipment of 20 units which should be arriving in the next few days.
These units are from the allocated quotas for Naim distributors in other countries who did not confirm their orders within a specified time.
When you buy the Naim Nait 50, you will also need to purchase a Naim RCA to DIN interconnect and Naim’s NAC A5 speaker cables as Naim amps perform at their best when paired with Naim’s speaker cables. Regarding the speaker cables, which are manufactured according to Naim’s specifications on capacitance and inductance, the minimum recommended length is 3.5 metres, but many Naim fans say 5 metres sound the best. CMY can deliver bespoke lengths of the Naim NAC A5 speaker cables.
The Naim Nait 50 retails at RM16,200, the Naim RCA to DIN interconnect costs RM950 while a four-metre pair of the Naim NAC A5 speaker cables cost RM2,800.
