At the 2024 KLIAV Show, this coming 25th till the 27th of October, look out for a dedicated room (Room 2714) by the team at AV Designs specially showcasing the latest range of products from JBL. The new range targeting home theatre enthusiasts offers 5 new receivers. These scale from a humble 5.2 all the way up to a glorious 9.2.
The Modern Audio AV Receivers as they’re called has an all-new look which is a cross of industrial minimalism and pure cool. The internals of the receivers have also been overhauled. Focusing on modern connections and removing all underutilised features.
Complementing these new receivers is the updated Stage 2 Loudspeakers. A series which can be mixed and matched into configurations to match the receivers and your budget. The complete line-up consists of 2 bookshelf’s, 2 floor standers, a centre, a height surround and couple of subwoofers. The diversity means that these speakers can be utilised to fit all kinds of cinema builds or even be put together in stages (pardon the pun).
What sets the new products apart from its predecessors is how both are built to perfectly complement each other in terms of sonic performance and aesthetics. In fact, a quick visit done to the AV Designs showroom prior allowed me to have a closer look. JBL has tastefully done the design and build quality of the new components. The complete build in white (including the receiver), looks sleek and will be an interior designer’s dream!
When it comes to performance, the new JBL products deliver the goods with absolute authority. Add to that, the special sauce from AV Designs with their know how in setting up, and your set for a full course meal straight to AV nirvana! Initial listening has proven quite enjoyable with the system having great proficiency even for two channel music listening.
A quick session with the MA310 the Stage 250B and Stage 200P subwoofer proved to be pretty darned satisfying!! Such performance is rare from a HT based system let alone at the price point. How much you may ask? Well, I suggest you check out the exhibit to find out!
