Audiophiles turned up at Begins Acoustic’s showroom in Puchong today to attend demo sessions showcasing a hi-fi system comprising the Gryphon Diablo 120 driving a pair of Audiovector R3 Arreté speakers.

Completing the system were Tiglon cables and the Wattson Audio Emerson Analog streamer.

Two sessions were held — 10am – 12pm and 12.30pm – 3pm. Light refreshments were served.

To be expected, the Gryphon Diablo 120 took charge of the proceedings especially in the bass region. The Arreté speakerss performed well and created a sound that was natural, dynamic with a large soundstage.

The interesting feature about the speakers is that they have grounding terminals. Kenix Chua demoed the speakers with the grounding plugs attached and pulled out. Everybody heard a difference.

Audiovector is the only speaker manufacturer that has this grounding feature. Only one other speaker manufacturer has featured grounding the speakers and it is Tannoy, but that was marketed many decades ago.

The Gryphon Diablo 120 was just warm after playing for several hours.
