While a trade war is going on between US and the rest of the world, a Chinese company has quietly bought up the venerable German company, Beyerdynamic, which is famed for its excellent headphones and microphones.
Several websites have reported that on June 5, Beyerdynamic signed the deal for its acquisition by Cosonic International, a Singapore-based firm, for €122 million.
Cosonic is an OEM manufacturer of headphones and earphones for global companies like Philips, JBL, Beats, Honor and Huawei. Cosonic is owned by Jiahe Intelligent Technology Co Ltd, which is listed in Shenzen, China.
