CMY Audio & Visual is slowly taking over one corner of Sungei Wang Plaza, one of the oldest shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur.
In late March this year, The High End Audio showroom opened two doors from CMY’s large showroom on the first floor of the mall. This showroom featured uber-expensive Goldmund components driving Focal speakers. It was a collaboration between a rich audiophile who became the Goldmund distributor in Malaysia and CMY.
In the middle of next month, another showroom will open next to the Goldmund showroom. This will be a ‘Focal Powered By Naim’ showroom, but it will feature only the top-tier products.
A pair of Focal Grande Utopia Evo EM speakers will be driven by Naim Statement preamp and monoblocks with music streamed by the Naim ND 555 Network Player. The price of the system? Well, there will be at least six zeroes…
Just like in the Goldmund system, cables and accessories will be from Siltech and Shunyata.
The demo room currently used for Focal and Naim products in CMY’s showroom will still be operating, but lower range components will be set up there.
Meanwhile. to consolidate its operations, CMY has closed its showroom in Sunway Pyramid mall.
