Audiophiles who have been faithfully going to the KL International AV show since it started many years ago would have noticed two old-timers who returned to the show as exhibitors after an absence of several years.
I entered this room and this gentleman recognised me immediately and shook my hand and it took me a few seconds to realise it was Adrian Wong from Audio Image.
“Wah, it has been a long time. How many years ago did you last take part in the show?” I said.
“I think about 10 years,” he said and proceeded to spin several LPs for me to hear on his DCS turntable, Burmester integrated amp, AIME phono preamp (designed by him) and Magico speakers.
A few minutes later, I entered this room and saw DH Labs cables and the M2Tech DACs. I turned around and spotted C.N. Lim of Acoustique Systems whose shop is in Amcorp Mall.
“Huh, you are here ah?” I said. “It must have been at least 10 years since I last saw you at the AV show.”
“I think it”s 13 years,” he said.
