BenQ, the world’s leading DLP projector manufacturer, launched the CinePrime W5700 and W2700 DLP projectors at the CMY Audio & Visual showroom in Sungei Wang Plaza on Wednesday in a media-only event.

Both models are the first 4K projectors in the world to feature DCI-P3 colour gamut.

“W5700 and W2700 introduce budding movie fanatics to real enthusiast-level cinema performance,” said Brian Lee, General Manager of BenQ Malaysia.

“Astounding 4K visuals with precise HDR colour combine with powerful image adjustability and installation flexibility to perfectly outfit small audio-visual screening rooms and living rooms.”

Both models deliver true 4K performance with 3840 X 2160 resolution with 8.3 million pixels using the latest 0.47″ single DMD DLP technology and 4K-optimised all-glass optical lenses.

Leveraging on BenQ’s exclusive CinematicColor technology, the w5700 provides 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space and 100% of Rec. 709 while the W2700 covers 95% of DCI-P3 and 100% of Rec. 709.

Both models have proprietary HDR-PRO technology which supports both HDR10 and HLG formats and incorporates auto colour and tone mapping techniques for superior brightness and contrast.

Ideal for dedicated AV rooms, the W5700 provides a 1.6X zoom and 2D H/V lens shift while the W2700 is designed for living rooms and features 1.3X zoom, vertical lens shift and CinemaMaster Audio+ 2 for convenient integrated audio.

While Wednesday’s event was for the media only, BenQ will be holding a special demo session for enthusiasts also at the CMY showroom in Sungei Wang Plaza. The event will be held on June 22 from 11am to 3pm.
