Today, I visited the better-sounding rooms again and I have been extremely impressed by a pre and power amp – the Nagra HD preamp and HD monoblock power amp.
The Swiss-made Nagra are expensive, but they are super high-end and are in the same league as the FM Acoustics, Soulution and CH Precision. Are the Nagra HD components better than the competitors? I don’t know, but in Perfect Hi-Fi’s system, the Nagras made the Sonus Faber floorstanders sound so dynamic and fast that I immediately realised I was listening to something really great.
