Frank Voon offers home demo of his 2-Tower Subs

Frank Voon’s FV AB 2-Tower Subs have been in the market since 2021 (see https://www.av2day.com/2021/01/big-big-sound-of-frank-voons-fv-ab-2-tower-sub/) but many audiophiles have not been given the chance to listen to them in a proper room.

Now Frank Voon is offering a home demo of the FV AB 2-Tower Subs — in his own house. He has put the finishing touches to a dedicated listening room with the demo system properly set up and the 2-Tower Subs positioned in the best spots.

He is currently using a pair of ELAC Debut 3.0 DB63 speakers.

Though some of his customers have been using the BBC monitor LS3/5a speakers with his 2-Tower Subs, Frank Voon is currently using a pair of ELAC Debut 3.0 DB63 bookshelf speakers.

After trying out several DACs, he is now using a TEAC UD-701 Reference Series Network Player and DAC in his demo system. The pre and power amps are of his own design.

Suffice it to say that the FV AB 2-Tower Subs are highly effective and turn the average-sounding ELAC bookshelf speakers into giant killers.

Ask him to demo the system with only the bookshelf speakers playing and then with the 2-Tower Subs augmenting the sound. Immediately, the full and tight bass can be heard which makes the speakers sound rich and big. Ask him to play Queen Mary by Francine Thirteen and listen to the low bass note that kicks in at the 25-second mark and is played every eight seconds after that.

There is a rear-firing tweeter to give the sound more air.
