Two groups of audiophiles were treated to ‘Japanese royalty’ Luxman driving ‘Denmark delight’ Audiovector speakers yesterday at Begins Acoustic’s showroom.
The Luxman 505Z integrated amp (RM26,200) is from the Japanese high-end company’s latest Z-series components while the Audiovector R3 Arrete speakers (RM66,920) is a current generation model. Tiglon cables were used throughout.
Hosting the demo sessions were Jacky Fung, APAC Sales Manager of Audiovector, who flew in from Hong Kong for the event, and Kenix Chua, the boss of Begins Acoustic.
Since the Audiovector R3 Arrete speakers have grounding connections, they were demoed with the ground cables connected and disconnected.
Since there was a Luxman D-10X SACD/CD player on the rack, it was also demoed.
