Sennheiser HDB 630 headphones launched at Stars Picker

Sennheiser HDB 630 headphones

The Sennheiser HDB 630 headphones were launched at Stars Picker today and several head-fi enthusiasts made their way to the SEA Park showroom to try them out.

The Sennheiser HDB 630 comes with the BTD 700 Bluetooth USB C dongle which you need to plug into your smartphone and pair with the headphones. Once paired, the headphones can play music up to 10 metres away from the dongle.

Note the USB C dongle plugged into my phone while I played music on Tidal.

The headphones can also be played wired and a 1.2 metre cable with 3.5mm plug is included. On a full charge, the battery can last about 60 hours.

As for the sound quality, it is very clear and quite neutral with an extended and open treble. The bass seemed to go very low and was impactful. Back home, I could not get the same bass performance on my pair of Sennheiser HD600 headphones with the iFi ZEN DAC 2.

The Sennheiser HDB 630 also has noise cancellation which was quite effective as I could see Stars Picker’s Willy’s mouth moving, but I could not hear a word she was saying.

The Sennheiser HDB 630 retails at RM2,499. Head to Stars Picker for a demo.
