Q Sound amplifiers and speakers from Chinese manufacturer Qinchao Sound Production were launched at Style Laser in Taman Connaught, Jalan Cheras, Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
The demo system comprising Q Sound Jun 6 speakers, Q Sound QM-2025 preamp, Q Sound QC1500 500-watter monoblocks and Kaiboer streamer/DAC showed what Chi-Fi was capable of achieving.
The sound quality was actually not bad at all and if the prices are taken into account, the components represent fantastic value for money. The Q Sound Jun 6 speakers cost RM8,399, the Q Sound QM-2025 preamp retails at RM5,800 while the Q Sound QC-1500 monoblocks are priced at RM16,800.
To complete the demo system were cables from Audioquest and a Fusion power regenerator, which is a new model designed by Goh Kheng Liang costing about RM6,000 which is aimed at audiophiles who do not have deep pockets.
Youtuber Brother Bok hosted the demo session after which there was a lucky draw featuring power cables as prizes. Also attending was Mei Qin, son of the owner of Qinchao Sound Production.
