A new and interesting hifi soho concept store has opened in Setia Walk at Puchong area. Absolute Transmission’s showroom is located at C-3-6-3, Block C, Setia Walk, Persiaran Wawasan, Pusat Bandar Puchong, 47160 Puchong Selangor DE.
I feel there’s a need to explain further on the address as it can be quite complicated. When in the lower ground parking, look for lift column C-3, then press 6th floor, and you”ll be taken directly to the store front, where you’ll see the sign board, as pictured above.
Absolute Transmission is headed by Steve Sai, a self profess disciple of TS Lim, and wows not only to sell you hifi equipment, but rather help you to get the most out of your existing equipment as the ultimate objective. You see, Steve assisted by his brother Shawn, is a hifi Master Tweaker, and he’d be happy to share some the tricks up his sleeve with you.
| A simple demo system it may be, but it’s highly resolving and emotionally engaging. It’s a musical all rounder that will impress even the most jaded audiophiles. It’s not the equipment that matters here, but rather it’s the state of tune, voiced by Steve, and the system reflects his perfectionist thinking and approach towards hifi. |
The main demo rig consist of Astin Trew AT3500 CD player and AT2000 integrated amp, feeding its juice to a pair of ALR Jordan Classic 5 entry level floor standing speakers, as pictured above. The said system is so finely tuned and voiced, that Steve demonstrated a deliberate disturbance to one of its power cord, will clearly alter the sound as a result, for better or worse. This is the kind of highly state of tuned system that Steve hopes to help his customers achieve in the long term.
