Blu-Ray players with Wi-Fi Direct, iPhone and Android apps, and Karaoke functions from Pioneer

With wireless connections becoming increasingly popular, it is timely for Pioneer to release a new Blu-Ray player that features Wi-Fi Direct connections.

Wi-Fi Direct allows for a direct wireless connection between a smart device and the Blu-Ray Disc player without the need for a wireless router.

The Pioneer BDP-160K Blu-Ray player also offers iControlAV2013 for iPhone, which is an app that turns your iPhone, iPod touch and iPad or Android devices into a remote control wirelessly.

All three models in the new range – BDP-160K, BDP-3220K and DV-2042KV – are capable of playing multi-playback dislc and offers compatibility with most video formats such as AVI, MP4, RMVB, 3GP, DivX and FLV. They can also play image formats such as JPEG, GIF, MPO and PNG, and audio formats like MP3, WAV, WMA, FLAC, AAC and Monkey’s Audio.

The BDP-3220K is for those who love to sing as it has karaoke built-in functions like Mic Volume, Key Control, Echo and Vocal Cancel. It can also play 3D programmes.

The DV-2042KV plays DVD disks.

  1. Recently i have drop an email to Pioneer Malaysia and asked when will they lauch BDP-160 in Malaysia, they reply to me they have yet decided when to lauch it. This model already available in UK, Europe, Singapore but wondering why it took so long for Malaysia lauch this model…………………
