Even when Malaysian audiophiles were stuck at home for too long during the COVID-19 lockdown, things were happening in the local AV industry.
AV Designs, which is already well known for selling PMC and Bryston products, is going even higher end.
They have become the Malaysian distributor for the Harman Luxury Audio Group and audiophiles can look forward to listening to Mark Levinson amplifiers driving Revel and JBL speakers in its showroom soon.
Yesterday, I had a chat with James Tan of AV Designs in his showroom and he said he had planned to launch these high-end products at this year’s Kuala Lumpur International AV Show, which was scheduled to be held in July. However, the AV show has been postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic and it is uncertain if it can be held later this year.
Yesterday, AV Designs posted this on its Facebook page: “We are pleased to announce that Harman Luxury Audio Group has appointed us as the sole distributor for their renowned and prestigious brands; Mark Levinson, Lexicon, JBL, Revel and JBL Synthesis.
