After what appears to be a hiatus for the past couple of years Pioneer is finally back to the KL International AV Show 2018.
Visitors should expect to see a new range of AV receivers headed by the seven channel VSX-933 and perhaps a modest range of brand new Blu-ray disc players as well as UHD Blu-ray disc players. A couple of new powered subwoofers are also on the drawing board and slotted for display at the KL International AV Show 2018.
The USX-933 is the flagship of Pioneer’s modesty priced series of AV receivers that is priced much more affordably then its higher end three model LX Series which is still flagged by its highly regarded SC-LX901.
Rated to be able to produce up to 135 watts per channel into a total of seven channels the VSX-933 is Dolby Atmos and DTS-X compatible and will accept or Pass through HDR10 and Dolby Vision 4K signals to a compatible display system.
According to Pioneer the VSX -933, while designed to uncompromisingly deliver a huge amount of quality power output has been ensured to do so while minimising mains power consumption.
It is able to achieve this via its proprietary ‘Direct Energy’ technology.
Other important features include up to six HDCP2-2 compatible HDMI inputs, full range streaming and MCACC cinema sound room calibration.
Regretfully there were no information forthcoming on the range of players mentioned except that visitors can expect them to be ‘fresh off the oven’ new and are sure to impress.
These and other Pioneer AV products will be on display at their booth at the nine (9th) floor of the Sunway Putra Hotel (opp. PWTC) during the KL International AV Show 2018, July 20-22.
